After a nice, gentle rain last night, we installed 20 pallets of sod today which is about 1/3 of an acre. We were waiting for the grower to start delivering sod (which actually happened last week) but more importantly for wetter weather. Installing large quantities of sod during really dry weather can be compared to a dog chasing its tail! Even with a good irrigation system, we would have spent a lot of time and labour dollars hand watering. The wet forecast for the rest of the week should help as well. The new sod is by definition gorund under repair - please don't play from it and avoid walking or driving over it with power carts. Thank you for your cooperation!
