We will be aerating all of the greens on Tuesday May 22nd followed by a heavy topdressing. This will mean temporary greens for a good part of the day. We have several tasks to complete on each green before it can be reopened for play. The process is as follows: aerate the green, remove the cores, heavy topdressing, vertical mowing, brush in the sand to fill the holes, blow off excess sand, roll the green, lightly water, change the hole location, and finally reopen the green for play. We know that golfers universally hate aeration and to be honest, we don't really like doing it either! However, we know that is an essential part of maintaining healthy greens. The following is a link to an article that exlains the importance of aeration in more detail:

Thank you for your patience and we will have the greens back in shape as quickly as posssible.
