We are nearing completion! We have completed the bunkers on #1 and the fairway bunker on #10 and are working on the green side bunker on #10 and the fairway bunker on #11. We will be getting sod this week and need to finish sodding #1, #3, #10, and #11. Hopefully the weather cooperates and we at least finish the shaping, drainage and sodding before it snows. We can then work on sodding some of the damage created by the construction related traffic around the course. The final step will be to finish installing sand. Some of this work will very likely carry over into the spring but it should be very minimal and not interfere with play. As I have said before, the most important step to complete this fall is the shaping, drainage, and sodding of the bunkers themselves. As you can see from the pictures above, the results continue to be excellent.
