We have finished cleaning up the course and are now edging and adding sand to the bunkers. As I have already mentioned, both the putting green and #12 green experienced substantial winter injury. We have transferred sod from undamaged portions of the putting green to the upper tier of #12. We used sod from the putting green since it will match up well with the existing sod on #12. We also sodded the practice tee decks yesterday. This is a task we wanted to complete last fall but never got the chance since the snow came early. Today, we are resodding the entire putting green. Gateman Milloy is also back adding sand to the new bunkers on #3 and getting ready for curbing the cart path next week.
The range will open on Saturday morning. We will be hitting off the artificial turf until the new sod has established. Not sure on opening the course yet but possibly late next week. It all depends on the weather. We still have many areas (including some greens) that are not actively growing. We don't want to risk damaging anything by opening too early.
