Spring?

It's been one of the coolest, wettest springs in a while.  We are probably two weeks behind last year in terms of growth.  The greens are not as smooth as we would like because we have not been able to topdress with all the wet weather. Power carts have not gone out on the course yet and it has been difficult for the green staff to get around the course as well.  We are still on the artificial mats at the range and will be for a little while.  The good news is that we only lost one tree in the recent high wind events.  It was a pine tree on the right side of number 10 near the 16th tee.  We have been cleaning up sticks and debris every day this week and we're still not done!  Despite all of this, we have a dedicated staff of positive people who are up to the challenges that mother nature throws at us.  We just wish she would give us (and you) a bit of break...there's a fine line between 'turn the other cheek' and 'enough is enough already!'
